This is Dead Ringer speaking.
We're all connected, somehow. You all should realize that.
This chalkboard: it's only a blank slate, like all of your minds. I will now instil the fear in all of you that you tried to do with me... The hazing has gone on far enough. We almost tried to kill each other. It's how hazing works. But now, all of you will fall one by one.
One by one.
Have you figured me out yet?
I'm your God. I'm your Devil. I'm your life, your death...I'm one of you. But you don't know who I am. You'll never know. Have you figured me out yet?
Are you scared yet?
The first murders will occur soon. You have been warned.

Her first time in the Maths Department was bound to be exciting. Not. The only time she ventured away from her dorm was to eat, go clubbing, socialize and wander aimlessly to the music department. There was something she loathed about maths. She got an okay grade in it, if you call just a basic pass alright. Still, she only needed maths to keep in time with her singing and stuff. For a change, she was wearing something more...civilized. She was wearing a plain black vest, denim jacket and jeans. Very plain clothing for a girl with such a mixed personality. Still, she jazzed it up by wearing a pair of knee high boots, and by having her black hair gelled up in various places. There was always something new to see with each thing she wore, and there had to be something outrageous in her attire. Heels clicking away like a keyboard as she walked, her grey eyes passed over numerous maths books. Many of them had rulers in them, to keep pages. Others were scribbled over with really odd looking equations. Despite that, it was quite quiet, with only a group of students here and there. They seemed to shy away from her, but she didn’t care.
Raising a hand to flick a piece of hair to the side, she kept on walking though rows of books and between desks. It wasn’t too long before she tired of wandering around, and pulled up a computer chair. She pushed it around with her heels, letting her head be thrown back as she span around. A sigh passed her bare lips as she span, heels quickly thrust to the ground to stop the motion. Shaking her head a little and putting her hands in her lap, grey eyes scanned the department in the hopes of finding someone to talk to. She wasn’t going to go up to any of the maths students, because she didn’t want to listen to their equations on life. Gwen only believes in her own equations, one being ‘alcohol plus herself equals a good time’. It made her laugh quietly as she thought about her many odd equations on life. Her philosophy was different to her friends, which made some times a bit awkward. Still, not as bad as one time…a slightly uncomfortable situation involving a bad reading of signals. ‘God, I still can’t believe I did that…’ Tapping her heels on the ground in a fast-paced beat, she began to hum to herself; closing her eyes and feeling the time pass her by.

A girl quietly hummed at the next computer chair over, to the left of Gwen. Her iPod was plugged in, and her right leg hung limply, swinging slightly awkwardly and stiffly. Her hand rose to push back some brunette strands of hair behind her ear, her eyes glued to her math homework. God, if only she was in Lit class now, with that annoying, droning teacher...hell, even he was more fun than these damned matricies were. She groaned a bit under her breath, finally tossing the pencil down. "I give up..." she muttered, crossing her arms and leaning back slightly.
She was just about ready to reach for her newest read, Kindred, when the figure sitting next to her caught her interest. She was an odd blend of classy and wild--a style that Cayton wouldn't mind copying herself if she wasn't bothered by it. She herself hated fashion, but she studied this girl's taste with a vague interest.
The woman began to hum, and Cayton's face broke out into a slightly twisted smirk. Her voice was very nice, and it was pretty damned easy to listen to. She tilted her head and continued to study her, waiting for a response.

Time was passing slowly. Too slowly for her liking. Still, her time was being consumed by her humming. Heels continued to tap against the ground in her fast beat, and her chair began to turn slowly again from one side to the other. Head fell back a little as the pause came, a sigh replacing the humming for a brief moment. This department was her least favourite, but she came here to find peace if the library was full, like it normally was. Her tunes became slower and quieter as she went though her song, feet finally staying still. Giving a small nod to herself and sitting upright again, she let her eyes open. Lifting a hand to flick away some rogue strands of black hair, she turned her chair around. Grey eyes soon became rested on another person sitting next to her, causing eyebrows to be raised. 'How long has she been there?' Going a little red in the face, Gwen let her hands rest in her lap, fingers interlocking as she turned her head a little in embarrassment. Not exactly the best of starts. She didn’t really like people listening to her humming, as she thought it was terrible. Of course, others didn’t think so.
Her mind suddenly clicked as she shied away. She had heard the girl speak, but had totally dismissed it. ‘God, am I really that stupid?!’ Coughing quietly and muttering something under her breath, she turned back to face the person, giving a shy smile. Her eyes took in her appearance, and it made her become a little intrigued, a similar feeling coming from the other, judging by how she was looking. Grey eyes noticed the smirk on her face, causing her to blush again, making her stomach slowly form into a strange knot. Not exactly a feeling Gwen was used to. Finally deciding to push her new-found nerves aside, she pushed her chair a tad closer to the other woman, the shy smile still on her face. “Hey there.” Her tone was rather soft, but you could hear a slight hint of roughness in there as well. Feeling the nerves vanishing away, her fingers unlocked themselves, one hand lying atop the other. “Take it you’re having some trouble eh?” Smirking herself a little, Gwen looked over the other woman once more, before letting her eyes wander a little, as not to draw any unwanted attention. She had a bad habit of doing that…mostly around the girls. Still, she had to admit; the other woman did look interesting.
